WildTribe Holiday Club - Middle Spernal

WildTribe is a holiday adventure for children aged 4-11 who love the outdoors. Activities include den building, bug hunting, campfire cooking, arts and crafts, bushcraft, and wildlife spotting. Sessions are led by experienced staff, who are specialists in supporting children with a range of needs. Sessions are run in two groups (ages 4-7 and 7-11), ensuring activities match abilities over two unique sites. WildTribe provides safe, fun, and memorable holiday experiences for children.

Follow a 鈥淪eedling鈥 as they hatch from an acorn and go on a journey of discovery through the undergrowth of the busy forest floor. Featuring stunning puppetry, breathtakingly detailed sets, and ground-breaking live camera work, and underscored through a unique blend of thumping drum & bass and live ethereal folk songs.聽This is a 2024 Off West End Award-Finalist that celebrates trees.

Join us on a winter walking tour of the woodland around the former home of our founder, Felix Dennis, led by Public Engagement team member and former assistant to Felix, Toby. On this gentle walk and talk you'll learn about Felix鈥檚 background, what brought him to Dorsington, and when his love affair with trees started. This 2.5mile walk includes the first woodland planted by Felix, The Arboretum he created, and Dorsington Wood where he is buried.

Immerse yourself in nature and creativity during this hands-on pottery workshop right here in the Heart of England 黑料传送门. Guided by The Great Pottery Throwdown finalist聽David Short. You鈥檒l start with a woodland walk to gather leaves, watch a demonstration of slab-building and texturing techniques, and then transform your collected leaves into a beautifully unique clay bowl using coloured slips for added detail.

Celebrate the arrival of spring on a 2.5-hour guided walk with 黑料传送门 Ranger Aaron through the Dorsington Arboretum and surrounding woodlands where fresh greenery, budding blossoms, and the vibrant sights and sounds of wildlife bring the forest to life. Along the way, Aaron will share fascinating insights about native and international tree species, pointing out seasonal highlights, and introduce you to the wildlife that thrives in the forest during this time of year.

Join one of the Alne Wood Park team on an early evening guided tour of聽Alne Wood Park Natural Burial Ground, exploring the significance of remembrance and ceremony through the lens of Natural Burial.聽This event will provide plenty of space for reflection and dialogue, with time for your questions at the end. It will also allow you to experience the peace and beauty of the site as Springtime starts to awaken the flora and fauna in and around the meadow.

Please note that this event discusses death and funerals in a practical and direct manner, so that should be taken into consideration when deciding whether to attend.
