WildTribe Holiday Club - Middle Spernal

WildTribe is a holiday adventure for children aged 4-11 who love the outdoors. Activities include den building, bug hunting, campfire cooking, arts and crafts, bushcraft, and wildlife spotting. Sessions are led by experienced staff, who are specialists in supporting children with a range of needs. Sessions are run in two groups (ages 4-7 and 7-11), ensuring activities match abilities over two unique sites. WildTribe provides safe, fun, and memorable holiday experiences for children.

Join us on a Bluebell Open Day when you will be able to wander around Alne Wood, an ancient woodland usually closed to the public, where the forest floor bursts to life with colour every spring, and bask in the sight and scent of the Heart of England ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ’s very own ‘Bluebell Wood' - and don't forget your camera, Alne Wood really is a sight to behold at this time of year.

Unleash your creativity at a Spring Flower Painting Workshop in the beautiful surroundings of Gorcott Wood. Guided by fine artist and Outdoor Education Officer Elly Joplin, learn acrylic painting techniques to capture the beauty of native spring flowers like bluebells. This small-group session offers a relaxing morning of artistic exploration inspired by the vibrant blooms of the Heart of England ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ. Perfect for artists of all levels seeking inspiration from nature’s palette.

At the end of the session, you will be able to take home your finished picture. All materials and tea/coffee/biscuits are included in the price. Suitable for adults aged 18+ only.

Step into the ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ this spring for a unique, hands-on foraging experience designed just for adults. Guided by Ellie, one of our expert Outdoor Learning Officers, you’ll embark on a gentle stroll through the forest, discovering the hidden edible treasures of the season—perhaps fragrant elderflowers, vibrant nettles, or delicate dandelions. After gathering your foraged finds, we’ll head indoors for a relaxed and creative session, using recipe cards as inspiration to transform our discoveries into delicious seasonal treats.

All materials are included. Suitable for adults aged 18+ only. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a lead.

Garden of Heroes and Villains Fundraiser for the Heart of England ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ

Experience the Garden of Heroes & Villains, a private sculpture garden commissioned by our late Founder Felix Dennis, and meet some of history’s greats, immortalised in bronze. With activities on this open day for the whole family, including a yew hedge maze, poetry garden, woodland walks and a collection of over 50 stunning sculptures, not forgetting the tea and cake refreshments, it's a unique day out in the Heart of England ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ.

Admission by pre-purchased tickets only. Dogs on short leads are welcome.

Get ready to experience the ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ from a different perspective, treat your senses to a creative experience in by where you can tease out your creativity and play with the term ‘art’. This guided event will be led by former illustrator Julie Walton-Evans, who now works as part of the communications team in the ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ. During your morning, be open to any possibilities and really allow yourself to experiment with expressing yourself within nature. Let the ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ become your muse and unleash your inner artist.

You will be provided with art materials and be able to take all pieces of art home with you.
